Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) hold skills in the treatment of pre-hospital care. These healthcare professionals devote their work to medical emergencies and patient treatment.
This course is designed for individuals interested in becoming an EMT. Emphasis is placed on the development of knowledge and skills needed to provide basic life saving care. Specific topics include care in cardiopulmonary resuscitation, use of an AED, breathing and airway management, patient immobilization, and bone fractures. The course focuses on soft tissue injuries, bleeding and shock, head, chest and abdominal emergencies, respiratory and
cardiovascular emergencies, trauma, spinal and head injuries, and gynecological emergencies. Other areas contained within the course have students learning about hazardous materials response and multiple casualty situations.

Cost: $900.00 – A $200.00 non-refundable deposit is due at registration & the balance of $700.00 is due by the first night of class.
