Evansville to Host 2025 Missouri Valley Women’s Conference Tournament Championship

Additional Events Announced Include Swim & Dive in 2026-2027 and Softball in 2026-2027

Evansville, Ind (September 17, 2024) – The Evansville Regional Sports Commission is thrilled to announce that the city will host the 2025 Missouri Valley Women’s Conference Tournament Championship, marking the first time this prestigious event will be held in Evansville.

This exciting announcement was made today in the presence of Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) Commissioner Jeff Jackson, University of Evansville President Chris Pietruszkiewicz, Mayor Stephanie Terry, and Evansville Regional Sports Commission Executive Director Brandon McClish.

“We’re incredibly proud to bring the MVC Women’s Tournament Championship to Evansville and create a new chapter in our city’s rich sports history,” said McClish. “This event will showcase our community on a national stage, driving tourism and local engagement.”

In addition to the Women’s Basketball Championship, Evansville is set to host several other MVC sporting events in the coming years, including:

  • MVC Softball Championship in 2026
  • MVC Swim & Dive Championships in both 2026 and 2027
