Jasper Engines and Transmissions

Jasper Engines and Transmissions, in operation since 1942, specializes in remanufactured engines, transmissions, differentials, and fuel and air components. They serve independent garages and fleets throughout the United States. The company was founded by Alvin C. Ruxer during World War II, initially remanufacturing engines in his Ford dealership. Their commitment to keeping vehicles on the road and contributing to the nation’s economy has been a driving force.

Notably, Jasper Engines and Transmissions became an employee stock ownership plan (ESOP) in 2010, distributing over $447 million of stock to its Associate Owners. The company stands out for its family-oriented culture, fostering continuous improvement and cooperation among its employees. Their mission is “Do It Right… And Have Fun!”

Situated in a strategic location near Interstate 64 and 69, the company benefits from a strong local workforce and business-friendly government policies in Jasper, Indiana.

One exceptional aspect is their growth through Jasper Holdings, Inc., formed as an ESOP in 2010. Over the years, they’ve acquired several companies, expanding their reach and product offerings. These acquisitions include Weller Truck Parts, Diesel USA, D&W Diesel, and Jer-Den Plastics, employing approximately 4,300 people across the country.
