Candace Chapman has joined the Evansville Regional Economic Partnership as the new Director of Downtown Development. The Director of Downtown Development’s role is to build more active, connected, and inclusive downtowns by accelerating real estate development and quality of place projects. Working alongside public, private, and individual stakeholders, Chapman will work to support new community projects and economic development in the region.
Candace Chapman previously served as the Director of the Downtown Evansville Development Corp, a non-profit whose purpose is to accelerate placemaking through real estate development in Downtown Evansville. She has a Masters in Community and Economic Development and serves on the board for Indiana Landmarks and the local Small Business Development Center. She and her husband Ross have three sons and live in an 1879 historic home in Downtown Evansville.
